About Georgia MMJ Cards
Georgia MMJ Cards exists to give Georgia residents a clear, honest, and affordable path to a Georgia Medical Cannabis card. We are a telehealth physician referral service that connects qualifying patients anywhere in the state with a named, Georgia-licensed physician for video evaluations, with no office visit required.
Georgia's program began with Haleigh's Hope Act in 2015, which created a state registry for low THC oil. The first licensed dispensaries were approved in April 2023, and on July 1, 2026, Senate Bill 220 rebuilt the program: the registry became the Georgia Medical Cannabis Patient Registry, the 5% THC cap was replaced by a 12,000 mg possession limit, lupus and inflammatory bowel disease were added, and many "severe" and "end-stage" requirements were removed.
Even so, Georgia has long had one of the lowest patient-participation rates of any medical cannabis state. Finding a certifying physician, knowing what qualifies, and understanding the state's fees are still real hurdles. Recreational cannabis remains illegal in Georgia, so a registry card is the only legal path for patients. We exist to make that path simple.

Why We Built This
Many Georgians with a qualifying condition never apply because the process feels unclear, the costs are hard to pin down, or they cannot find a physician who will certify them. We built this service to remove those obstacles.
Our purpose is simple: connect qualifying Georgia residents with a licensed, publicly verifiable Georgia physician through a transparent and compliant telehealth process. No anonymous "network of doctors." One named physician, Dr. Johnathon Chance Miller, whose NPI and Georgia license number you can check before you pay, and a process that works the same in Atlanta, Savannah, Valdosta, or a rural county with no certifying doctor nearby.
Check My Eligibility →Meet Your Physician
Every evaluation on our platform is conducted by one named, Georgia-licensed physician whose credentials you can verify yourself before you spend a dollar.
Dr. Miller evaluates patients across Georgia, from cancer patients and people living with Parkinson's disease to veterans with PTSD and adults whose pain has not responded to years of treatment. He knows they are not looking for a rubber stamp. They want an honest clinical opinion based on their records and Georgia's rules. If you qualify, he certifies you in the Georgia DPH Medical Cannabis Patient Registry the same day. If you do not, he tells you why, and your fee is refunded.
How Our Platform Actually Works
Four steps stand between you and a Georgia Medical Cannabis card. Here is each one, including the steps that happen with the state after our part is done.
All evaluations through Georgia MMJ Cards are conducted by Dr. Johnathon Chance Miller, MD, a physician licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board with his principal place of practice in Georgia. Evaluations follow Georgia's clinical standards and the requirements of SB 220, and patient welfare, legal compliance, and honest medical judgment guide every visit.
Certification decisions belong entirely to the physician. No approval is promised before a consultation. Whether a patient qualifies is decided by Dr. Miller's independent assessment of that patient's medical history against Georgia's 18 qualifying conditions, not by payment, platform preference, or anything outside medicine and state law.
Medical Credibility & Compliance
Every evaluation rests on Georgia law, physician independence, and a process open enough that you never have to take our word for anything.
We built this platform so Georgia patients always know what to expect, what they will pay, and who they are speaking with. Dr. Miller's NPI and Georgia license number are public before you book. Our fee and the separate DPH card fee are published in full. Our affiliate relationship with Heally Telehealth is openly disclosed.
Dr. Miller evaluates every patient as an independent clinician, applying professional judgment to Georgia's qualifying conditions without input from our platform. His job is an honest evaluation, not certifying everyone who fills out a form.
SB 220 made Georgia's program far more useful to patients: full-strength products, vaporization for adults 21 and older, more qualifying diagnoses, and easier renewals for incurable conditions. The program is better than it has ever been. Joining it should be simple, and that is the gap we fill.
Transparent Pricing: No Surprises
Georgia patients deserve to know exactly what they will pay before they book. Every cost, ours and the state's, is listed here.
Separately, the Georgia Department of Public Health charges a $30 card fee plus a $3.75 portal fee, paid directly to DPH after certification, never through us. A new patient's total is $212.75. Because printed cards now last five years, most yearly recertifications cost only the $159 evaluation.

What We Do Not Do
An honest service is clear about its limits. Here is what Georgia MMJ Cards does not do, and why that matters.
Start Your Georgia Medical Cannabis Card Today
Same-day video evaluations with Dr. Miller are available from anywhere in Georgia, and your certification is entered in the DPH registry the same day you qualify. Recreational cannabis is still illegal in Georgia. A registry card is the only legal path.
